Division Midway Alliance Community Visioning

Supporting Division Midway Alliance (DMA) during a community visioning workshop that focused on identifying the community wants and needs for a future community center. The neighborhood DMA represents is a diverse sub-area of Portland, OR and the workshop featured different communities and language groups: Arabic, Bhutanese, Chinese, Karen, Latinx, Nepali, Somali, Tongan, and Vietnamese.

Division Midway Alliance Community Participants

The community engaged in topics such as safety, affordability, displacement, public realm improvements, urban greening / gardening, knowledge exchange, small business incubation, and cultural identity. In addition to informing the future community center and other neighborhood improvements, DMA is collaborating with a local muralist to summarize and visually represent this vision outside their existing facility.
